Now that schools out I hardly now what to do with myself yet, oddly I
haven't had a moment to myself...its great. I love being apart of The Salvation Army around
Christmas. Helping out at the toy drives, handing out presents to kids at community gatherings and making food hampers really makes
Christmas. Jacob also had his karate
Christmas concert. He made me cry I was so proud of that boy! As soon as I figure out how to
upload video I'll post his star of the show performance,
sanpi made him stand out
in front for his part, there were at least 800 people there and Jacob did
AWESOME! The black belt demonstrations were pretty encouraging and only at five Jacob is thrilled to go for a black belt.
Jacob's karate creed goes something like..."I am who I am, and what I am has beauty and strength, I believe in me." I believe that this creed has an enormous element of truth, as long as you recognize that God is the source of of who you are. And confidence in yourself as a child of God is necessary for spiritual growth and success in life. As a christian believing in yourself requires believing in God. This has been a huge lesson over the past year. Taking some pretty massive steps that only
suceed if you
beleive in yourself seems to be a trend for me as of late. God has been faithful, again (and again). I believe in me, only because I am a child of God.
